Our Mission

The aim of the Greater Navarre Beach Area Arts Association is for the cultural and educational enrichment of the community in the field of arts by providing opportunities for artists in all media and events for the public to collectively participate in instruction, demonstrations, lectures, special events and exhibitions.

From Small Beginnings

Early in 2006, a small group of individuals interested in finding a way to bring the arts to Navarre began to talk about plans for an arts festival.  By the end of the summer a core group had accepted the daunting responsibility of bringing culture to our community and named their alliance the Greater Navarre Beach Arts Association - GNBAA.  Shortly after, GNBAA was legally incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the State of Florida and officially classified as a 501c3 organization on May 14, 2007.

We continue to grow by leaps and bounds.  In just three short years we have banded together to unite local artists.  We have built a stage that serves as the focal point for music and performance events in our community.  We have successfully promoted the arts in South Santa Rosa County through the Navarre Arts Festival which showcases over 60 local artists and attracts more than 30,000 visitors in October each year.  The brilliant work of local painters and photographers are showcased in our Library and numerous Navarre businesses.  Local artists have shared their skills teaching painting, music, dance, and theatre classes to young and old alike.   The GNBAA has been instrumental in bringing talented jazz musicians and vocalists to the Best Kept Secret of the Emerald Coast.

Yes, the arts are alive and well in Navarre!
